CUSTOM CAKES & DESSERTS

INQUIRIES

Please use the Order Form and include as much information as possible including servings, flavor, filling, theme, location (for delivery) links to images that will assist in the design process and quote. Custom cake and dessert orders should ideally be placed at least 2-4 weeks in advance of the event date. Be sure to check spam email folder for responses!

GENERAL PRICING

Pricing may vary depending on design and subject to change. All orders require a 50% deposit to confirm booking via PayPal or Venmo and the remainder is due on or before the event date.

Cakes - General pricing for basic designs with three layers and start at $10 per serving. Approximate serving size is 1” x 2” slices that are 4”- 6” high:

  • 4” round | 4-6 servings

  • 6” round | 10-12 servings

  • 8” round | 16-20 servings

  • 9” round | 25-30 servings

  • 10” round | 32-38 servings

Other Desserts - We offer decorative Cupcakes and Cakesicles, and mini desserts. Please inquire for other desserts available. Minimum of 1 dozen and 1 flavor per order. Basic design starts at $4.00 each.

Delivery

Customers have the option of picking up orders in Orinda. Free delivery service is available for Lamorinda areas only. Delivery fee of $25 + tolls for all other areas within a 15 mile radius of Orinda (depending on location and availability). Tall multi- tiered cakes are delivery only and preferably to the event location. Deliveries are generally scheduled on weekdays during business hours between 9:00am - 5:00pm, after business hours between 8:30pm-9:30pm, and weekends between 8:30am - 11:30am.

You can safely transport cakes and desserts in the boxes provided and we recommend that cake is placed on the passenger floor of the vehicle with air-conditioning on. Please drive slowly and be cautious when going around turns and bumps. Alternatively, a passenger can put it on their lap for the journey if it can be securely held.

Storage

Our desserts are made from scratch with fresh ingredients. For our cakes we typically use meringue buttercream with organic milk, eggs, and grade AA butter. Cakes will stay fresh at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, depending on the cake, filling and decor (dairy and fresh fruit fillings need to be refrigerated).

If the cake is not eaten on the same day as pickup or delivery, store in the cake box in a refrigerator (avoid storing with strong smelling foods) and bring to room temperature at least 1 hour before displaying or serving. You can freeze any leftovers in an airtight container and place in a freezer for up to 30 days after the initial cut. Please ensure that the cake is fully defrosted before eating.

Terms & CONDITIONS

  • Deposits are non-refundable and required to secure date and order. Amount is applied to the remaining balance due on or before event date.

  • Nana’s Home Cakery (NHC) is not responsible for any guests’ allergies that were not properly disclosed prior to placing an order. Note that our kitchen is not nut-free even if the cakes may not contain any nuts. Our cakes may contain milk, wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless of allergic reactions.

  • NHC is not responsible for any damages incurred or condition of the cake after delivery is complete, including safety and condition of leftovers due to varying storage practices at event location.

  • NHC may take photographs of products and we reserve the right to use them for display or promotion without compensation to you.
